During our visit we were intent on tracing the graves of two of Lauren Worthington's (Year 11) great uncles. Both were killed in action and it was only recently that the family had traced his whereabouts. Lauren was to take advantage of the trip and try and find both men. It was also useful for the rest of the group to see how it could be done should they wish to trace members of their own family who may have fallen in the Great War. Armed with research information we immediately looked for the small door built into the entrance brickwork. There we found the booklets containing the site plan, name index with grid references and a visitors book. Looking up Private Stanley Worthington we quickly found his grid reference and Great-neice Lauren led the group to his resting place. Before we left Lauren signed the visitors book.
